Job Description Summary Provide leadership to production planning and production control teams. Analyze and provide direction building well defined production plans, execution of customer orders on time and to plan. Manage Inventory, strategic buffers, material buffer levels. Lead Toronto SIOP process, Continuously improve planning / business processes. Ensure accuracy and maximize value of SAP to drive business results and successful customer outcomes for delivery, lead time and useful information exchange. Partner with Director of Operations to execute to demand plan and deliver on time to Customer promise dates. Essential Functions Oversee and be responsible for products from material launch to final shipment. Responsible for leading Timet Toronto SIOP Process. Supply Chain Management:
enable supply chain plan compliance with commercial, NASC, outside services, and the melt shops; actual vs. plan variance resolution; supply chain conflict resolution Demand Management:
demand plan fulfillment management; change order management; plan variance resolution. Interface with commercial, product management, and service centers maximizing opportunity) Order Acknowledgement Management & Reporting:
acknowledgement cycle time compliance; lead-time compliance (actual vs. market requirements; exception management); commercial conflict resolution. Capacity Planning & Reporting:
Responsible to ensure TIMET Toronto effectiveness with Key resource analysis and reporting; rough cut capacity planning; liaise with conversion services & production control mitigating capacity constraints Inventory Management & Reporting:
Production cycle-time analysis; replenishment program planning (liaise with conversion services and melt shops supporting on-time goods-issue; inventory aging compliance; unallocated inventory compliance; MRB management & execution; unplanned production yield analysis; maximizing lower of cost routing options. SAP effectiveness and Master Data:
Lead efforts to ensure SAP use and accuracy including master data maintenance, system accuracy and utilization. Responsible or leadership of TOC creation, alignment with Demand Plan, FLEX and driving continuous improvement of TOC process for accuracy and effectiveness as a management tool. Provide guidance and leadership to Production Control Teams, Operations Managers, and Shop Floor Supervisors. Liaison to Operations Management, Supply Chain Planning, Quality and Technical Management and The Commercial team within TIMET. Ensure that all customer queries are responded to promptly and accurately. Drive goals and report metrics schedule adherence. Provide updated delivery information to meet customer commitments. Provide daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on shipping volumes and other key Toronto Plant metrics. Lead Theory of Constraints (TOC) activities, reports, meetings, etc. Responsible for leadership of PCC Scheduling Operating Systems (Past Dues, Delivery, Inventory) Performs other related duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Support the development and application of performance metrics, (On Time Delivery, On Time Start, On Time at Stage, Wait time, Cycle time and other planning / inventory Metris that will promote long-term continuous improvement programs consistent with the operating objectives of the Toronto plant. Provides support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships. Qualifications Competencies Extensive knowledge and training in pro, duction planning, logistics, tech edit and manufacturing processes. General knowledge of manufacturing processes involved in manufacturing of titanium mill products. Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to provide leadership and develop similar skills within his/her organization's leaders. Computer skills and the ability to advance those skills as required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Operations or equivalent. Knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes. Special Skills Strong customer orientation Demonstrated experience and knowledge of planning, logistics, and inventory management A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Working knowledge of principles of TOC/Lean Manufacturing The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
