Business Systems Manager

Job Description
Summary
The Business System Manager oversees IT related business needs that include SAP systems which support business processing for finance, sales, purchasing, and logistics. The primary responsibility of the position is to build and maintain a positive relationship between IT and business areas, and ensure timely support of day-to-day business processing needs. The Business System Manager must be able to balance workload between in-house and outsourced resources and manage the ongoing business systems related projects. The Manager interacts and coordinates between IT, business areas, and external vendors besides helping in defining and supporting the business process related to IT, also handling other responsibilities including inter alia of documentation of technical requirements, coordination of all aspects of the business life-cycle, and implementation of change control procedures. This position demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects and meet stated customer initiated deadlines.
Essential Functions
The Business Systems Manager facilitates the implementation and support of business processes, best practice guidelines, and data systems with the goal of sustaining a highly functional data model.
Ensures that data is created in a consistent and repeatable method
Directs the creation and enhancement of data tools to audit data accuracy and improve data modeling
Ensures that systems can be updated with a reasonable amount or work through business processes or systems tools
Help to develop and enforce standards, business processes and data definitions in the data model.
Ensures that Data is Reportable
Provides data solutions to the business across all functions to enhance their continuous improvement initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
Participate as a senior member of TIMET's Data Analytics steering committee
Participate as a member of TIMET IT steering committee
Liaise between the TIMET IT department and the business ensuring requirements are well understood and fulfilled Engage in all TIMET business/operations data platforms to develop proficiency merging data that will enable analysis utilizing information across one or multiple platforms
Qualifications
Competencies
Knowledge of Master Data and Data Analytics.
Computer competent in SAP and Microsoft applications.
Education and Experience
Degree in Business, Computer Science or MIS or 5 plus years equivalent experience. Proficient in SAP and Microsoft applications.
Special Skills
Database Languages:
SQL (required), TSQL or PLSQL a plus
Statistical Languages
R (preferred), Python, SAS, etc.
General-Purpose Languages:
VB.NET, VBA, C, Perl, Python, etc. (at least one preferred)
General Software ? Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
Data Management ? Microsoft Access, Excel
Statistical Packages ? Minitab, R

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
