Division Project Engineer

Job Description
Summary
Division Project engineer will monitor and provide the necessary guidance in the selection and execution of capital and expense projects with focus on project scope, deliverables, budget, and schedule that is consistent with established project development and implementation guidelines. The individual will also oversee corporate driven production initiatives providing leadership and project management skills.
Essential Functions
Maintaining implementation guidelines for both the North American and European Engineering groups with respect to the division capital and expense projects
Oversight of division driven initiatives aim to promote best practice and operational efficiencies (by example: PCC Metals Group OEE implementation)
Maintain corporate standard practices for capital project management and project monitoring
Oversight of corporate level project controls for consistent managing, monitoring and reporting of capital project status from Origin Document and CEP approval to project completion
Monitoring and reporting of capital project and energy program performance execution against established budget targets
Liaises with purchasing, accounting, plant management and executives as required for project development, control and implementation
Audit the implementation consistency of the capital management program across all plants
Serves as a resource for continuous improvement and other project team initiatives
Serves as a resource for process engineering initiatives

Qualifications
Competencies
Be independent minded team facilitator working with cross functional teams
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
Possess expertise, knowledge and training in both general engineering and purchasing principles
Ability to provide leadership
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering (An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may also be considered)
Minimum of 3-5 years related project management experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of process engineering experience
Titanium and Nickel Processing/Manufacturing experience would be very helpful (desired ? not required).
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all organization levels
Strong Personal Computer Skills (MS Office experience required)

Must be a self-motivated leader who can lead, manage, and complete a wide array of projects on time and gain results through others
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level
Must be proficient with contract language for purchases and vendor specifications
Can facilitate teamwork across different facilities and implement the desired outcome from the team
Ability to leverage best practices across the organization
Understands purchasing concepts and cost concepts as how they relate to total company performance.
Must have understanding of equipment functionality and expected outcome to lead procurement process for various projects
Works closely with project engineers, review design and specification proposals, document equipment changes and translate information for assessment of project impact
Must possess the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Goal oriented, data driven, with a strong sense of urgency
Must be proficient user of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects and working knowledge of SAP and other project management type software systems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
