Business Systems Analyst

Job Description
Develop interactive tools that convert enterprise data into business reports that can efficiently and rapidly visualize and analyze information to facilitate data-driven decisions.
Analyze data using visualization and statistical techniques to improve business processes and identify issues in order to increase quality, reduce cost, and meet strategic objectives.
Essential Functions
Extracting and manipulating large datasets from different data sources such as databases, text files, Excel, Access, etc.
Transforming, integrating, and presenting data for analysis
Communicating results to non-statistical audiences using data visualization
Perform statistical analysis in support of projects and routine reporting.
Create powerful and user-friendly analytical dashboards to improve TIMET's analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Develop predictive analytic systems to improve quality and reduce costs.
Additional Responsibilities
Designated Tableau "super user"
Teach and demonstrate statistical methods to other stakeholders.
Highly motivated, independent, attention to detail, big-picture thinker, innovative, communicator
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of database management system technology and architecture
Proficient in statistical analysis
Regression/ANOVA (multivariate, logistic, etc.)
Statistical Process Control (control charts, capability, etc.)
Design of Experiments
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field
Master's preferred
2 -5 yrs of industry experience
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
Experience with Oracle or SAP (preferred)
Special Skills
Database Languages
SQL (required), TSQL or PLSQL a plus
Statistical Languages
R (preferred), Python, SAS, etc.
General-Purpose Languages
VB.NET, VBA, C, Perl, Python, etc. (at least one preferred)
General Software ? Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
Data Management ? Microsoft Access, Excel
Statistical Packages ? Minitab, R

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
